You have to check this out

Any one with a little princess has got to have one of these hand made bows. A mom who cares for her daughter makes them, and they are just too cute. I ask you all to look at her page and send it to anyone who has a little princess!!! http://www.larkielubows.com/

5 Days to Skys 4th Birthday

Early gifts, no... I wouldn't do that, actually anyone who knows me, knows I love to give gifts, so Skys Magenta and Blue were given early and he LOVES them.

I think Skys eyes say it all....

my Mr Perfect, I sure do love you little man.

Our new thing, shadow drawing.

Well Skys 4th Birthday is 5 days away, Saturday my little man turns 4, and his big brother turns 14. I still cant believe the boys have the same Birthday, just 10 years apart. Heidi you have had such a crazy week with Junior and apts, but you still got a Birthday card sent off for Skylar Thank You, he loved it!!!!
Saturday we will be having just a family party with balloons, ice cream cake from cold stone and per Chandlers request a giant monster cookie. There are way to many flu bugs around our area, so we will have a big party for the boys on May 3rd.

Playing hard

Fast asleep with brush in hand.
Painting

Sky telling me he wanted to go this way, he wanted to go get daddy up.

Driving his yellow

He sits in his power chair so well, I just love seeing him up and on the go!!!

Drawing and writing

Must have been a good part in his book

Enjoying some books

turning his pages so he could hear more o the story

Skylar was so very cute this morning, up at 5:30 and ready to go go go by 6:30, we spent about 4 hours in red and in his power chair, playing elafun, drawing, reading, racing cars and playing ball. When I got Sky out of his power chair it was 11:30 and he wanted to paint, so we got all set up, about 25 mins into painting the little dude feel asleep... In the middle of painting I might add (it was very cute)

Writting and just being silly

Skylars first legible word, he surprised me yesterday, we were just drawing and he asked for his board to be erased, and then he wrote Hi... he was very proud of him self as was I...
Bracing for the roll, mama likes to roll the ball off Skys forehead and then he catches the ball, some how I was able to get this shot and the face. Silly boy, its a soft ball its not going to hurt :)

Food made simple

I wish others would do this, go-gurt is awesome for Sky, he can hold it and eat it all by him self. He can do the same with a spoon but it very messy. This food in a tube idea is clean and efficient. I wish others would package stuff this way.

Moms picture picks for the day!

Notice Skys tongue, I cant do this, fold my tongue, must be genetic, because Skys daddy can turn his tongue this way too.
Learning to read, so Ive been trying to label toys so Sky learns to spell them and will know what they mean the next time he sees them.

These 2 pictures are just because I LOVE these pants! they are just too cute.

OT The sounds of spring

We have had one very crazy winter, snow, freezing temps, winds and more snow. Tonight when you step out on to the back deck the air is filled with the sounds of frogs, lots and lots of frogs. Oh its a beautiful sound, a sound of hope and promise of better weather and brighter days a head.

Happy Thursday

Little Up date

Lets see not to much has been going on hear, I just got over a 3 day sniffle and Sky is working on day 2 of his sniffle, so far nothing to bad, he is still playing and driving and wanting to go 100% of the time. Im just having to blow his nose more then normal. So as long as it stays that way and dosnt change other then for the better, we should be good.

Skylar and Chandlers Birthdays are just 18 days away, Chan will be 14 and Sky is having his golden Birthday, he will be 4. Cold and flu season is still very high in our area, so we have opted to have the big family party the first weekend in May. But we will still have cake and all the goodies....

We are getting 3 alpacas, they will be hear in 2 weeks. The kids are so excited, so am I. Keith and Chan have been working on the fence and this weekend we will be getting some straw for the barn and rope fence.

Other then that, thats about it...

I know its St Patrick's day, we dont usually do much, wear a little green and for dinner the kids will enjoy some green eggs and ham (bacon for Moni)

Friday the 13th ;)

Im not a superstitious person, in fact Keith and I were married on a Friday the 13th. Its a good luck day for me so far :) This is a video of Keith pushing Sky around in his power chair, Sky LOVES this and asks for it all the time... Keith can usually do this about 3 or 4 times, that power chair is anything but light.

Looking back WOW

This is Sky yesterday, I know that pillow is huge, but I haven't finished the smaller one for his head. But Im almost done with it, it helps him to keep his head in the correct position while driving his power chair.
This is Skylar this time last year so March 2008 (he still has that baby face)

Skylar March 2007, he very much looks like a baby in this picture (this is one of my favs) I always wondered what he was thinking, such concentration in his eyes.

Skylar March 2006, 1 week after his diagnoses and just 2 weeks prior to catching the flu, and our 3 month hospital stay, Love this picture, but it also reminds me of what my baby looked like with out machines and trachs, so I guess this picture makes me a little sad.

Our Quantun Wheel Chair Rep

we had a rep from Quantum come out today to make some adjustments to Skys power chair, and I was impressed, he was very nice, and offered a few suggestions to get Skylar using his joy stick better, Skylar has weakness in his wrists so the adjustments were greatly appreciated. he didnt think Skylar needed the min joystick as he still has very good hand control and can grasp the large ball at the end of his joy stick. So we are going with what we have and see if the adjustments that were made help. Ive already seen an improvement, he can now turn to the right better. Its slow going as Sky will have to get use to the new position, but I have all the faith in world in my little man (I say give him a week or two) Also he brought us out a new stander, but it was to big for Sky... So we will have to wait bout 4 weeks for the smaller one for him to try. The funny thing is these people thought Sky was 5, he is such a big kid, they were surprised when I told them he was only 3... So in all it was a great day/morning, Skys had about 3 hours up in his power chair so far today, and its charging now. Im sure as soon as its ready Skylar will be up driving some more :)
