Im Thankful for my three beautiful, awesome kids, for play time, for the messes they make for the smiles they give, and Im Thankful for such a great husband, he works and gives so much of him self each and every day! And Im Thankful for all my online friends and family, most of you have special needs kids, so you too know how special each and every day is!

Snow and wind

Still snowing!!!!! its now 7:30 and it has not let up, should be fun to see what we get by morning!

snow snow and more snow, i would not mind the snow at all, its the winds that are headed our way with teen temps. We are sitting at a comfy 25 degs right now, with no wind and lots of snow. But later tonight we should see colder temps with winds up to 40 mph, Ive got all of Skys batteries charged, equipment charged and gas for the generator, Im pretty sure we will be with out power tonight, I hope not, but Ive lived here long enough to know better!

a few fun facts

Cold and flu season is knocking on our door, there are things you can do to stay healthy, eating right is one of them.

Roast Beef Sandwich

Another mineral that can help stop a cold: Zinc. It plays a big role in immune system functioning and has been shown to stop the growth of microorganisms in the body, including some bacteria and viruses (and a virus is what causes colds). Both roast beef and whole grain bread are great sources of zinc; put them together, and you've got a powerful cold-fighting snack

Chicken Soup

Believe it or not, your grandmother was right: Chicken soup is the perfect snack when you've got a cold! Not only is the warm broth comforting and soothing (essential when you're feeling run down and uncomfortable), research at the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha showed that chicken soup helps control the production and spread of inflammation and congestion-causing neutrophils (white blood cells). A cup of this soup gives you the perfect "dose."

Clementines

Despite all the controversy surrounding vitamin C's effect on colds, recent research shows that while this powerhouse antioxidant can't prevent them, it can help cut down on the duration and severity of colds. Clementines are a great source of vitamin C -- two fulfill 100 percent of your RDA. What's more, clementines are easy to pack and eat (no sticky fingers, since their skins peel off effortlessly).

the seasons

I think if sky could he would decorate the tree in just monster trucks

a little sister brother time while setting up the tree

so it seems we went from Halloween to Christmas, we have our trees up and are slowly decorating them. I think the house will be in full Christmas decoration by Thanksgiving ;)....

The kids are doing good, skys is doing great with school, he can now count to 50 and read a few small books. Moni has all A's , Chans grades are good and some not so good, he is working on them.

Keith will be working over Thanksgiving, Moni will be with her dad and Chan will be with his mom, so its just the dude and I. I think we will have our family Thanksgiving a day or two before the actual holiday. And I think my dad and Joyce might come up and spend Thanksgiving day with Sky and I, that will be fun, Sky likes it when Grandpa and grandma are here.
