- Hello, My name is Skylar. I live in Stanwood, Washington. I am a very happy little guy. I have SMA TY II SMA is the number one killer of children under the age of two in the world, there is no cure, so please pray they find one soon!! 1 out of every 6000 births is a child born with SMA, it robs the body of movement and functions (my mommy says it like being paralyzed but you can feel everything) and it takes 2 adults with the gene to have a child with SMA, scary thing is 1 out of 40 adults carries the gene.
